With the success of “Project Rakshak: Now it is planned to start the second (2nd) phase of Rakshak programme i.e “Junior Rakshak” in collaboration with the NCC cadets. The NCC always aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens.
Junior Rakshak project aims at creating a pool of organized, disciplined, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities, who will serve as Road Safety Ambassadors for creating road safety awareness among various segments of the society. Every year NCC have a pool of students who can be trained and can act as a first responder to help the accidental victims. Further, these Junior Rakshak can be utilised as a Student Traffic Volunteers with enhanced skills which can help in assisting the traffic police and accident victims.
